What if time stands still?

For a moment today, time stands still — but you can tweak one thing while it’s stopped. What do you do?
Photographers, artists, poets: show us STILLNESS.

Sounds like a great time to check and make sure I zipped up this morning. Yep, I’m good to go. Didn’t even have to sneak it in today.

Just for some fun I will throw in a picture of what may be causing a little stillness for a lot of us very soon.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Inside

Weekly Photo Challenge: Inside

Always thought the idea of playing baseball inside was a little weird. Watching it reminded me of my high school baseball days. When it would rain we still had practice, but would have it inside the gymnasium using a rubber ball instead of a regular baseball. Made for some fun and interesting practices, but they were never too serious.

Photo taken in Tampa Bay at Tropicana Field during a Red Sox visit.

An Unusual View: Weekly Photo Challenge

Challenge yourself to rethink your ideas about what subjects are appropriate, and then challenge yourself again to find an unusual perspective on your subject.

Okay, what if my seven year old niece grabbed the camera during her birthday party and ran around the house taking pictures? I have no idea what this was (I think maybe a wall hanging that wasn’t on the wall) but it actually made for a striking picture. The unusual view through the eyes of a seven year old and what she thought would make a great picture (She also took several shots of the bathroom toilet)

What if I could see the sea? Weekly photo challenge.

I don’t normally pay attention to the weekly photo challenges, but I saw this one (Sea) and had to share a few of my pictures taken a couple years back at Myrtle Beach, SC. The first picture was taken on the beach and the other two from the balcony of the hotel my wife and I stayed at. It was early fall and every time I look at these pictures they remind me how peaceful it was there.

You don’t get to see a horse on the beach too often so I figured I’d get a picture.

What if we no longer teach spelling in shcool?

Okay, what if we no longer teach spelling in shcool? Believe it or not, this is a possibility.

There is talk of dropping spelling and grammar from our school curriculum because everything is available through the use of technology. In my opinion this is a very bad idea!
