Poem written for the Trifecta: Week Ninety-Three challenge
One-word prompt, where this week’s word is: GRACE
a : a charming or attractive trait or characteristic
b : a pleasing appearance or effect : charm
c : ease and suppleness of movement or bearing
What if my grace has left me
No longer mine to show.
Why did you choose to leave me
It’s been so hard to let go
If I could be anyone but me
Maybe you would still be here
Instead it seems I’ll be me
Can’t change who I am I fear
Based on the way you’ve treated me
Grace may have left you as well
Maybe you’re not the one for me
No matter how hard I fell
If in the future you see me
And we pass along the street
You may think about how you hurt me
But see I never accepted defeat
For on the street beside me
A beautiful women will exist
She will be the love of me
Her grace she shares with her kiss
